We had a wonderful time at Gold Rush 2011 in Boyne Falls, MI at the Boyne Mountain Resort.
There was plenty of great scenic riding to be done and friends new and old to talk with.
We had 23 members form Wisconsin in attendance. A fantastic showing for our state.
Wisconsin did well at the closing ceremonies with Bob & Linda Kruger winning their registration and 5 nights stay at next years Gold Rush from a drawing of pre-registered participants at this years event. To win you needed to be present. Says allot for being there. Scott & Sue Engels twin daughter, Megan & Grace won for being the youngest passengers attending Gold Rush. They each got a plaque.
The twins also pulled the winning tickets for the 50/50 at the closing ceremonies. Yours truly took the 1st place money. The twins got a little bonus for pulling the winning ticket.
Next year Gold Rush will be at the 'Lake of the Ozarks' in Missouri, July 23rd thru July 26th. If you register before February 1, 2012 it will only be a $25 per member registration fee because it's GWTA's 25th Anniversary. A pretty darn nice deal. Look for the registration form on Chapter GB's website in the near future.
We also have Meet n' Mingle at the park in Friendship, WI August 20, 2011. Bring whatever picnic lunch you would like. The state will supply the snacks, soda, water, desserts, etc. We will also have a 50/50 and a few raffle prizes. If anyone would like to donate a raffle prize it would be appreciated. There will be a Question and Answer period on any subject you have regarding GWTA as well as ideas and discussion on next years Region C Rally to be held in Richland Center, WI. We will be looking for volunteers to help out to make this one of the best rallies for Region C. The last one held in Wisconsin was great and hopefully we can build on it.
