GOLD RUSH 2008
Please take a look at all of the pictures of our trip to Gold Rush 2008 in Billings, MT.
You can see pictures of Mount Rushmore which really makes one realize the history and foundation of what our country is all about along with the pillars of state flags as you walk up to the viewing area.
The Chief Crazy Horse monument as it's slowly being carved out of a mountain.Scenic pictures that we took while driving through Beartooth Pass. We started out with a temperature of 68 degrees at 10:30 AM and when we got to the top we registered 48 degrees. By the time we got back to Billings it was in the mid 80's.
There are pictures of Drill teams doing their performances on the main street in Billings along with pictures of a few bikes from the bike show. Even Gerry Brix got a haircut to cool off.
All the bikes lined up in a parking lot to create the GWTA living logo. When the logo was complete then pictures of it were taken from a helicopter. The picture will be on the cover of an upcoming issue of Touring News. The pictures are great but being there to view all of it in person is indescribable.
The pictures were taken by Rick Verber & Pat Williams & Markus Baudhuin.
