2012 Chapter GB Meeting Minutes/Schedule
1.) To be announced is a set up going to a “Blizzard Game” on March 9th.
We will meet for dinner at Drift Inn at 6:00 p.m. then head to the game which starts at 7:30 p.m.
2.) There will be a “Potluck” at Jean and Don Augustson’s home April 22nd We will meet there at 11:00 a.m. and eat at 12:00 p.m. Bring a dish to pass.
3.) Saturday May 5th “Mattoon Smelt Fry”. We will meet and leave from the Maplewood Shell at 9:30 a.m. if you would like to ride with the group.
4.) Our start up of “Riding Season” will begin Wednesday night May 16th. After that it will be every other Wednesday. Rides will leave at 6:30 p.m. If canceled due to inclement weather (Rain or excessive heat) there will be an e-mail by 4:30 p.m. and the ride will be delayed until the next Wednesday (off week) instead. In September the ride start times changes to 6:00 p.m. due to less daylight.
5.) Sunday May 20th is our “Spring Kickoff” at Pat & Barb William’s home at 2293 Marco Court. Our chapter will provide hot dogs, hamburgers, soda and water. If anyone who wants there oil changed, Pat and Steve will do it. Bring your own oil and filter! This will start at 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
6.) The start up of the “Mileage Contest” begins May 20th as well. Be sure to have Steve or Marcus mark your Mileage on that Date at Pat & Barb’s home. The contest runs until October 7th at the 2nd annual “Booyah Cookout”!
7.) The “Ride for Moola” runs from June 1st to October 6th. Pick up your entry forms from Pat & Barb Williams.
8.) June 8th, 9th and 10th “Region C Rally” at Richland Center.
9.) June 15th, 16th & 17th “Chapter GB Campout” in Waupaca Policeman’s Camp. There is a “Strawberry Fest” in Waupaca as well and Russ Rodrian will lead a ride.
10.) A “Timber Rattler’s Game” will be an impromptu date. Steve will set up when it’s forecast for good weather and will send out an e-mail to invite all to go.
11.) July 23rd – 26th “Gold Rush” in Lake of the Ozarks Missouri.
12.) August 12th the will be a “Potluck” at Joyous and Carl’s. Please bring a dish to pass. We will meet at 11:00 a.m. eat at 12:00.
13.) August 19th “Meet-N-Mingle” in Friendship, Wisconsin. Bring your own Picnic Lunch.
14.) September 7, 8, & 9th Chapter H Ontario Campout/Knight of the Hatchet "Canada" More details as the date approaches.
15.) September 9th is the “Chicken Run” to Van Abel’s. Pat Williams will lead this ride. We’ll meet at Fleet Farm east and leave at 1:30 p.m.
16.) Possibly one of our last Wednesday night rides will be Sept. 19th. We will stop at Pat & Barb Williams home for hot dogs etc.
17.) October 6th “Color Ride”. Roy Johnson will lead this ride. We will be leaving from the Shell Station in Abrams at 10:00 a.m.
18.) October 7th the “Second Annual Booyah Cookout” will be held at Mike and Janice Thompson’s home. We will meet at 11:00 a.m. and eat at 12:00 p.m. The chapter will provide Booyah, soda and water. Bring a snack or dessert to pass.
19.) Sunday December 2nd the “Christmas Party” will be held at The Wood’s. We’ll meet at 12:00 p.m. and eat at 1:00 p.m. Dirty Bingo to follow and the winner of Mileage Contest announced.
