Color Ride

Many of the would be riders were already down in Florida by the time/date scheduled for this final formal ride of the season. The weather played into this ride as well as the turnout was the smallest since I've been going on it several years. The previous rides were scheduled for Sundays which caused another problem for the turn out. A huge error, by me, caused at least two more riders unable to locate the start of the ride. On the original ride schedule, put out at the beginning of the 2011 riding season, I had the start as the Shell station on Lineville road. I never changed that original schedule to reflect the previous color ride starts back to the Shell station at Abrams where they've been for years! Several weekly e-mails did reflect the change but two riders had not read those e-mails and actually came to the wrong location on Lineville. I will try hard to insure everything is changed in the 2012 riding season.
